The original hardwood floors installed in this home were a prefinished hardwood flooring. Prefinished hardwood flooring is much harder to sand down because of the aluminum oxide in the finish. Aluminum oxide is the second hardest mineral behind a diamond and our sanding pads are made of aluminum oxide. So you can see the problem. It's really hard to sand down prefinished hardwood flooring. We can do it and here's a home in Brighton that illustrates the finished product. This job received Provincial stain and 3 coats of a high quality oil based urethane finish.
