Once we capped the existing base floor we then installed a prefinsihed hardwood floor. Some advantages to a prefinished hardwood floor are: less dust and mess, aluminum oxide in the finish which provides durability, strength and scratch resistance, and can have a price advantage over a site finished product. We were very pleased how this hardwood floor came out!
