So here in this home in Milford we did just that. We installed new, solid oak hardwood flooring in the rooms that didn't already have hardwood flooring then we sanded them down along with the existing hardwood flooring. Once done, we then stained all of the hardwood flooring with a medium brown stain and applied 3 coats of a high quality, oil base floor finish. It came out great.
