Our first step was to remove the old carpet, pad and tackstrips. Once that was done we prepped her existing floor and installed the new oak hardwood flooring. We then sanded everything down to a very smooth surface and applied some golden oak colored stain. Then we applied 3 coats of a high quality oil based finish and here's the finished product. Beautiful!
