Once the new solid maple hardwood flooring was installed, we then sanded it down to a smooth finish. We then applied a medium brown stain (you can choose any color stain you want to really personalize your own home!) and finished the job with 3 coats of a high quality oil based finish. Maple hardwood flooring really takes special care when applying stain and topical finished because of the way maple will absorb the finishes.
