Here we have an older home in downtown Milford that badly needed refinishing. This solid oak flooring was the traditional 2 1/4" wide strip planking that was used exclusively in the past years. Now, most new hardwood floors that are installed are at least 3" wide as the wider widths have become fashionable. Still, there is a beauty in these old hardwood floors and we can restore them to it's original luster. We sanded down the existing finish and stained it to a dark walnut color. Then we applied 3 coats of an oil base finish and here are the results. Absolutely gorgeous. Boardwalk Floors can bring your old, worn out floors to life again.
