Aluminum oxide is the second hardest mineral behind a diamond. As a matter of fact, our sanding sheets are made with aluminum oxide so removing a factory finish from hardwood flooring can be tough. We first had to remove the existing finish, then applied a nutmeg stain and finally put on 2 coats of a high quality oil based finish. We think it came out great!
